I show dogs and wanted a ground mat to use under x-pens. The mat is double layer of mesh that hoses easily and will allow sand to filter through. The mat has corner loops that will allow it to be staked to the ground. I can hose it easily (for obvious reasons to those with dogs) and it will drain well. I hope it will hold up with teething puppies. I did note the mat is treated with some kind of soapy chemicals in manufacturing, so I would recommend a good hosing off before you first use it. I ordered two more for x-pens or for camping use. VERY NICE!

I pour table salt on top to test it, salt went to the bottom and the top was clear of salt! I folded it four ways, pour table salt on top, all went to the bottom and all four folding was clear of salt. It really does work, if it’s to big you can fold it and get the same results!

very nice blanket for the beach it is more of a plastic material but will be ideal for all the stubborn sand that likes to come home with you!
