As far as portable grill’s go, this one is top of the line. I’ve owned it for around two months now and have had no problem cooking burgers, hotdogs, chicken, steak, and eggs with bacon (requires separate griddle attachment). It can take slightly longer to cook than with a standard outdoor home grill, but that’s to be expected. That being said, this grill offers more bang for buck than any other portable units. High BTU’s ensure that you’ll be able to handle anything you could with the home grill. Dont expect to be able to smoke-cook anything. The manual clearly states that this grill should never be closed while cooking (you can warp the cover this way). Setup takes no more than 10 minutes, and cooking is a breeze. If you enjoy tailgating and/ or basic camping this grill is the best choice. The LXX can easily be an at home grill as well, being able to cook most BBQ foods as well as the larger, stationary models. If you’re into gadgets, Coleman sells a variety of attachments and accessories for the grill too. Be aware that the grill DOES take up a bit of space. If you’re going on a trip, make sure you have a vehicle with enough space for you, you’re grill, and your friends. I’ve already used this grill for a camping trip, a tailgate, and three friend’s BBQ’s (the LXX always gives my friend’s at home grills a run for their money!), and I’ve zero complaints about the product. Clean up takes a while, but is a must for maintaining the grill. Treat it good and it will treat you good. At the time i write this, Amazon offers the grill for 149.99-the best price i’ve seen online and in store. Coleman normally prices the grill at 250- it’s a steal. If you need a portable grill, this one steals the show.

If your expecting to get a camping grill that performs like a Weber or some other higher end brand. Forget it. But if your a looking for a reasonable and versatile grill this one is your baby. This grill was delivered just the night before we were to go camping. I was delighted to see the size of it although being used to a very small portable weber gas grill it seemed huge and I wondered how it would be to transport around. The wheel and handle make it reasonable to move around and of course the lid locks for transport too. So that was good.

This is an older model (newer LXX and NXT are in stores) but the price was better and I figured the brushed aluminum side tables, chrome tool hooks, more BTU, and thermometer for $10 was worth it over LXE. Just took delivery today, so time will tell. Got this for tailgating (live within walking distance to NFL stadium!) and camping. My first impressions were the quality, fit and finish were excellent. It simply looks great and feels sturdy and solid. Is it the most expensive or the most high end portable grill? Probably not but this will be absolutely perfect for what I intend to use it for. Had it together and running the initial burn in within 20 minutes and that was taking my time to read the book and look it over. No defects and burns VERY Hot. I intend to cook on low or medium. ALso got the road trip carrying case and that was a PERFECT fit including accessories. Handle comes off with 1 button and stores INSIDE the grill minus the grates (see photo) and grates store in pockets in bag. Plan to get the griddle and stovetop grate as well. Will update after I cook with it.

easy to clean and store. Only problem is you can’t close it and lock it with the burner plates in it, so you will need either a carry case for the whole thing or a carry case for the plates

Arrived in excellent condition via FedEx 2day air from Florida. The grease pan was preinstalled, two simple screws for the wheels, push in the pull bar, screw on the regulator, attach the grill plates, and that’s it! Cosmetically prestine and well packaged.

awesome grill. I’ve taken this camping and a few parks so far and it is awesome. Relatively easy to carry folds down very small so doesn’t take up much space when transporting. I can easily grill 8 – 10 burgers very quickly. easy to clean and if you pair this with the hose that allows it to attach to regular propane tanks and a 1 gallon tank it allows you to grill for a very long time while still being easily portable. It is a bit expensive compared to some other grills but if you do alot of outdoor activities this grill will not let you down. will update if anything changes
This is a great design for a portable gas grill — great size for a family or small party.

This is a very tidy package on which to grill the steaks or burgers. It folds up nicely to slide into the trunk of a medium sized car, and it generates a nice, even heat. Despite its small size, the grill will accommodate burgers and dogs for a small party, and the pull out shelves, thermometer, tool hangers and wheels all combine to make it practical and portable in addition to being a good grill. This is a well-designed product.
