A lot of people have the complaint about these leaking badly, but I think I found the issue. I had ordered these a long time ago and they were great. I usually hand wash them but I put them in the dishwasher once and from that point forward they started to leak really badly from the threads at the top. I have since bought new ones and have not put them in the dishwasher. They have not leaked at all since. The top on the new ones appears to have been addressed as well.

My son loves these bottles, they are fun to use. Same principle as toddler sippy cups: There’s a little silicone valve in the part you drink from in the lid that holds water in well enough that it doesn’t drip out if you tip it. But since these bottles are fairly soft, it takes only a squeeze for it to leak. So I would not put them on the bottom of a gym bag or anything. Holding upright, they will give a spray of mist if you squeeze them, provided there is a little bit of water still in the lid by the valve. There is no straw inside, no technology to cause this other than the silicone part in the drinking part of the lid. I don’t know if they originally intended for the bottles to work this way, but it’s a fun result either way.

They aren’t that expensive, hold a solid thirty-two ounces of liquid and are easy for the boys to open and close with minimal effort. I also bought two Refresh Pro infuser water bottles for us coaches and they have been a blessing for us – easy to use, and it’s super simple to just pop some fruit in and fill it with water before heading out to the field. The summers here can sometimes get to over 110 degrees, and I’m really happy I was able to make sure everyone stays hydrated without breaking the bank.
