Gets out the funk

No denying it: my down sleeping bag was developing a serious funk. Campers moved farther away from my tent. Bears hung their food to keep me away. Something needed to be done, but I was frightened. My bag was expensive, and I’ve heard the warnings about washing down, so I resisted. Next trip, a raccoon took a break from eating my trash to shake his head at me in disgust. That was the final straw. So I bought McNett ReviveX and followed their instructions at my local laundromat. What do you know, it was clean! It even lofted up a bit more. Now I can hopefully be treated with some respect, at least as much as a guy whos hygiene was criticized by a raccoon can get.

WOW! Don’t give up on "worn out" down pillows! They can be LIKE NEW again!

I had a Feathered Friends down bag that wouldn’t fluff up even after a good washing with REI Loft down soap. I took it back to their Seattle store, they told me to use ReviveX instead … and to my great surprise most of the loft came back even after 10 years of constant use. Great for jackets, sleeping bags, feather pillows, etc.

A good cleaner for most down jackets. But be aware, do not wash your waterproof jacket with it.

This product works as advertised; I’ve washed two goose-down jackets with it. Each jacket came out clean, and each jacket required about three cycles through the dryer (by themselves) for full restoration of loft. I used dryer balls, tennis balls would work just as well I’m sure — just be sure to use something. As noted, the loft was fully restored and perhaps a bit more than when I bought the jackets. I will purchase this product again.

I washed a large down sleeping bag exactly as the manufacturer recommended in a front loading washer. The bag looked small and pitiful when I removed it from the washer, but after about five drying cycles, it fluffed up even more than before. It’s important to wash on the gentle cycle and to allow time to dry which took much longer than I anticipated.

I used the ReviveX Down Cleaner on an old Army down sleeping bag that I had not cleaned in a long time. I used a large commercial washer, following the instructions. After washing and drying the bag, I am very pleased with the results. There is still some ground in dirt, so I think if I repeat the washing process again, I can remove the remaining soil. The down is very fluffy after the washing and drying.

pleased as can be

ReviveX Down Cleaner did a great job! Not only was my down vest clean, but also soft and fluffy. I was very pleased and would definitely recommend this product to someone else.

A must have for all down products!

This detergent really blew me away. I bought this mainly to wash some dingy down jackets that have been on too many trips to count, can’t remember the last time they were washed. I washed them in my top loading washer on a delicate cycle in warm water with 1 oz of cleaner, per instructions. It does recommend running an extra spin cycle, however with my washer that didn’t seem necessary. Dried on low with a few wool dryer balls, our old jackets are good as new! Sparkling clean, odorless, and VERY lofty. I’ve held off washing my down for so long because I was terrified of ruining an expensive piece of gear, but this product makes it dead easy.
