I go to neighbors house and we sit on her back porch but she has a pool back there and our area is pretty woodsy so we get tons of mosquitoes! Last time I was there I did not spray or anything and I was eaten up so bad that I could not sleep for a few days! I hate bug spray so when I was offered this alternative in exchange for my honest review, I decided to take the offer. Last night, two children and 3 adults used this product. Now keep in mind, the previous time I went there I probably got around 50 mosquito bites! So here is the data I collected with the bracelets Adult A No bites Adult B 2 bites Adult 3 1 bite Child 1 no bites child 2 1 bite. As you can see it was pretty effective considering how bad the mosquito are out there, however, not totally effective. Also all but one of the bites were on ankles,feet or legs. I think a remedy to bring it to 100% may be to wear a band on your wrist and a band on your ankle. Overall, I love this concept and in comparison to a deet bug spray I would say it is probably slightly less effective than a spray with deet but more effective than an natural spray.

Up until now *3 weeks use* these bands seem to work, no mosquito bites yet. It says it lasts 120 days, I’m using them more frequently than that just to keep them working at 100% (just in case). The ones I discontinue use within the time frame I tie around my baby’s stroller, crib, and just around the house to keep mosquitoes away.

I have been going out to our local sport shooting club lately, and it is in the middle of some farm land. One thing that is abundent (other than corn) is the bugs. Last week I came home covered in bites, even after being sprayed with spray.

We took these on a recent trip to areas that were noted to have mosquitos and were pleasantly surprised! We did not get any bites and used them daily. Although sprays, lotions and bug zappers can be useful, the inconvenience and smell are often worse than the insects themselves! We would recommend these to others going on travel or camping.

Pros:

Living in Florida we deal with pesky mosquito bites all year long. More however in the summer. I do not like products with deet in them so I was happy when I started seeing more options deet free. I was always pleasantly surprised when it said waterproof. We spend a ton of time in our backyard swimming, gardening, entertaining with firepit etc. My 5 yr old daughter and I tested them out the other night. They fit her and myself fine. No strong odor, light citronella smell. I didn’t let her wear it in the pool bc that seemed pointless but as soon as she got out, still wet she put one on her wrist and ankle. This is so much easier than sprays. My daughter hates suntan lotion and bug spray. Its all WWII when it comes to applying those two things. Bug spray she would cry about bc half the time she has open bug bites that she scratched that burns when you put the spray on. SO after approx 5 hours outside I had no bug bites and my daughter had 1 to 2 which is way better than her typical 15. My daughter put one around our dogs collar too..lol..The resealable bag is awesome. I am thinking about spraying these with some find of deet free product or some kind of bug deterrent oil after they lose their strength to see if I can extend their life any further just bc its so much easier getting my daughter to put these on than to spray her. I did get this product at a discount for my honest unbiased review.
