Great Bag for Larger Adventurers

I specifically sought out this bag for two reasons. First, I’m an avid outdoorsman who needed something with more performance than the big box store sleeping bags could provide. Second, I’m a big guy, who needed a bag that wasn’t designed around the average 6′ 185 lb human. The specs for this bag indicated that it would be a snug fit for my girth, but accommodate my height just fine. I am 6’2″, 280 lbs. As expected, it was a little tight around the hips (or, more accurately, I’m a little too thick in the middle and have too much back). However, it had plenty of room in the upper torso area, so I’m no more cramped than in any other sleeping bag. More importantly, I could easily fit my entire 6’2″ body into the bag with room to spare. Also, there is a velcro flap that covers the zipper, making it more secure where other bags tend to unzip under pressure. Outside of the bag, I was impressed with how well the bag rolled up and slid into the compression sack. The filling was very highly compressible, but also provided sufficient “tuft” once unrolled. The included compression sack allowed me to squeeze this combo down even more tightly. I’m able to fit the entire sleeping bag into the bottom compartment of my pack, which is as it should be. (Meaning, I don’t have to put it in the internal compartment, then dump all my gear just to get at my sleeping bag.)
Great value, very warm, many features of a higher cost bag

Very nice sleeping bag for the money. I am 6′ tall and 215 lbs with size 12 feet and can sleep well in this thing if it was cold enough outside. It’s a little snug for me around my hips if my arms are down around my side, but I typically don’t sleep with my arms straight down like that. The foot well was my concern because I don’t like for my feet to feel restricted, but it works fine. No issues at all there. I also had plenty of room for more height. I would estimate someone up to 6’4″ could use this bag with no issues. This was my first bag with a piece that blocks the draft you get around the top. I am a very warm natured guy and this feature almost requires wind and cold for me to be comfortable. I tried this out on a calm 30 F evening and was occasionally opening the bag to cool off and ended up leaving it slightly unzipped. I cannot emphasize enough that I am very warm by nature. I am confident the temp rating is correct for this bag.

This bag kept me warm on a hiking trek. It’s got some oddities: the label is printed backward on the stuff sack and the brand says “Blufield” not Outad, but it does work well and was a little smaller when rolled up than my old bag. I don’t know how waterproof it is. On a couple of nights the bag touched the inside wall of the tent and the moisture from the morning dew got onto the outside of the bag. The water appeared to have soaked into the outer fabric rather than bead or roll off, but I did not feel the water inside the bag. As with a lot of “waterproof” products, perhaps “water resistant” is a better description.
A great sleeping bag for the price

To begin, I need to disclose that I was asked if I would review a sleeping bag by the manufacturer, but will be giving my honest opinion of it despite that.

I bought this sleeping bag after spending several cold nights hiking throughout the Northeastern United States. I was hoping this bag would alleviate some of that discomfort for future trips and I have to say that it worked well. The bag is comfortable and warm. I cannot speak to it’s durability since I have not had it for very long but it seems to be made of good material. I’m not sure how waterproof it actually is since I have not experienced any rain while using it. Additionally, the bag is rated for comfort in temperatures just below freezing but I have not taken it out in such conditions, however, it is comfortable when the temperatures are quite cool and based on how warm it kept me I’m assuming it would work well for colder temperatures.
The material’s great! The inside’s are not the regular shiny

We needed warm (30 F) sleeping bags that we could also carry on a 4 day intense trek. These bags arrived just in time. The material’s great! The inside’s are not the regular shiny, uncomfortable material; neither is it cotton (my earlier sleeping bag was). This one has a softer, synthetic fabric. So we’re sure that it’ll feel good against the skin, but won’t absorb moisture like our previous one.
30 degree/lightweight Sleeping bag on a budget.

Great sleeping bag. I took it camping this weekend and it held up extremely well in 30 degree weather. Heck i was sweating a bit. Im giving it a five star because everything stated about this sleeping bag seems to hold up. I will further update this once i take it out for a rain and snow field test. The one thing that does bother me about this sleeping bag is the zipper mechanism. It is hard to zip up when you are inside the sleeping bag but for the price im getting this for I will not dock it down one star. Great sleeping bag so far

Kept me decently comfortable at freezing temperatures in the Colorado Rockies. I camped out at 9,500 feet, woke up with ice covering the tent, and felt warm enough given the situation. It fits, and I’m 6’2.

great sleeping bags – kept me super warm during late fall camping in cold , windy windy weather and was super comfy – extra padding kept me warm and made it more cozy. not a backpacking sleeping bag for sure but perfect for car / tent camping. Very pleased with this purchase!
