Tarps have many different uses; from ground sheets (footprint) under tents, to tarps above your tent or hammock to keep you dry, to make-shift tents and shelters, and even sun shades at parks or at the beach. There are countless times where you’ll find it beneficial to have one laying around!
Great for Backpacking!

This is a very nice tarp. I am using it with my Alps Mountaineering Lynx 2 tent for backpacking. I mainly purchased this because of its ability to be compacted down in a compression sack. I am able to wrap this around my tent and compact it down in the same compression sack. I have used it twice so far on backpacking trips and it works nicely. The only downside is the thickness. It is a bit thinner then I had thought, but at the same time it wouldn’t compact so nicely if it was any thicker. I can only speak to the durability of two outings, but of those two it has held up nicely being used and packed back up probably 7 times in those outings.
Great lightweight tarp!

I had a chance to test this tarp on a four day backpacking trip, and am pleased with the results. I used it as a tent footprint and it worked out great. There was no moisture on the bottom of my tent even with the fresh snow melt all around. The tarp had no abrasions or holes in it after several nights of being slept on in multiple locations. It is fairly easy to fold up and fit back into the stuff sack with a little patience. As well, it is small, lightweight, and easy to pack. I am very happy I purchased this tarp instead of other more expensive options. I bought the small which fit under my backpacking tent perfectly and only wish they offered one large enough to use as a rain fly for my hammock.
Lightweight, good size, good colors, good price!

Great buy for the money. I use this mainly as a ground cover to protect my 3 person tent and when you have people walking all over it, grinding it into the dirt, etc you don’t need to have a $50 tarp on the ground. You DO need one that isn’t bulky and weighs a ton like the fiber blue tarps you find in the hardware store. This tarp is lightweight, a good size, and the right price. I bought the orange to increase visibility when on the ground around tent stakes, etc.
Great for the price

I tested this tarp out to make a shelter on a recent backpacking trip. We had scattered storms throughout the night so I was a bit concerned using a new tarp but it held up just fine. Totally waterproof, even in a part where my pack was leaning against the tarp for the night. It’s a great tarp for the price. There are more compact and lighter tarps out there, but they’re at least twice the price.

This ground cover was perfect for our camping trip. We ordered the medium green one. It has a very nice storage bag to store it in and when in use the corners have metal O’s to put steaks in so it stays in place.
If the description matches what you’re looking for it will not disappoint!

Matches product description perfectly so if that’s what you’re looking for it will not disappoint! The size fit very well with my the dimensions of my tent, giving me great waterproofing as i was easily able to tuck my tent’s rain cover underneath the tarp. It packs small but the storage bag is rather large causing it to expand within your bag. This is a very nitpicky thing and even as a hiker trying to make every inch count I wouldn’t let that be a factor. In fact, it gives me space to store smaller items (such as my paracord) that usually get lost/tangled in my backpack. An excellent buy!
Top quality product at a fraction of the cost you’d find at an outdoors store

The OUTAD camping tarp was exactly what I was looking for. After having spent three times the cost at a camping store previously, I decided to take a chance and try the OUTAD. The fabric is sturdy and the seams are well sewn. The tarp has eyelets which I used to tie paracord to then I just slipped it back in the nylon bag that came with the tarp. The quality is definitely as good as those high priced products you’d find at the “three letter” outdoors store.
