If you already own a Delica or Endura, you have one of the best selling knives Spyderco makes. The knife you have just acquired is a bit different from the normal C10 Endura4 and C11 Delica4 Lightweights. They are now available in a range of new handle colors with full-flat ground blades. Their FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) handles come in new vibrant tones including blue, green, brown, gray and purple. Molded onto the handle's surface is Bi-Directional Texturing® for slip-free tactile traction. Inside the handle are dual skeletonized stainless steel liners which strengthen the knife without additional weight and double as an anchor for external and internal components to attach through generating more sturdiness and rigidity. The blades are full flat-ground VG-10 with a thinner highly refined cutting edge and a larger 13mm opening hole. Added to the blade’s spine is slip resistant jimping. Phosphor bronze washers smooth out the open/close action and the clip is upgraded to a four-way tip-up, tip-down, left-or right-handed clip.

**NOTE : this knife does not have the saber grind that is shown in the default amazon picture (as of 10/24/2013); it is a full flat ground knife, as is shown in the other pictures attached to this item. The description also correctly describes the item as full flat ground.

I’ve read that a serrated blade is superior for personal defense use

I haven’t owned a Spyderco knife before, so I thought I would buy one that was really unique to their style; unmistakably Spyderco. This knife definitely fits that description. The delica is one of their most popular designs, and after using it a couple times, I can see why.

LOVE SPYDERCO

I’ve had the knife for a few months now and carry it every day. It is very well built and holds a fine edge. The clip is well made but will scratch with daily wear as to be expected. I’ve had no problems and I would recommend this knife to everyone!

Initial impressions of my first Spyderco

I didn’t think I am a knife enthusiast, but this knife may change that. I have previously only owned swiss army knives, and Leatherman multi tools, plus a charming Opinel (8, I believe). But the website EDC (Every Day Carry) got me fascinated with the idea of a high quality knife for use not actually every day, but for tasks around the house. (I have an office job, so there doesn’t seem to be a need for that at work, and I’m always fixing things at some, but I want something nicer than the utility knife I always seem to be using.)

Great First Impression

I just received this item and right out of the box it makes a great first impression. This is a lightweight knife I will be using as my EDC knife. The blade seems quite sturdy and the locking mechanism seems secure. The belt clip is a bit tight on dress pants but that could also be a good thing.

Fantasdtic EDC

Holy moly does this thing stay sharp for a long time. I was a Benchmade guy for a long time and those are great knives but I almost feel like my Spyderco is holding up better after day-to-day use than my Benchmades did.

Nice blade

This is an excellent knife for the price because of the quality and vg10 steel. If you are searching for an excellent every day carry knife, this is the one to get. I own another spyderco delica 4 with the sabre grind, which is a great knife but I would take this full flat ground over it any day. It is also much easier to sharpen with the spyderco sharpmaker. If your thinking about purchasing this knife, don’t hesitate as it will not let you down.

I like everything about this knife

I like everything about this knife. It’s affordable, it looks great, and the blade is very secure when locked in place — no wiggle. I also love the razor sharp edge that this VG-10 steel can attain — in fact it’s razor sharp right our of the box. The same steel is used in the Shun kitchen knives I use, and I really like them as well. I had one of these with a blue handle and lost it. I ordered a new one that same day I lost it — I like it that much. Now this blade will not open as easily as some knives, like say a Benchmade Griptilian. You need to practice with this one a little for sure one-handed opening, and I think the opening “breaks in” a little as well. But I really prefer the security of this blade over the Grip, so this one’s my preferred EDC.

Very good lightweight folder.

I first ordered the Spyderco Endura4 but found it to be too large for my tastes. I sent it back(without a hitch, Amazon customer service is great,) and opted to order one of the smaller versions. The Delica4 with Blue FRN handle. I’m very happy.
