I purchased this to have hot lunch while on campus for 7 hours on Saturdays with no food service. It’s fairly large sized, with a smaller secondary inner compartment that could possibly hold 2-3 saltine crackers or some oyster crackers. I will be replacing the plastic spork with a titanium spork which fits nicely in the holder.
Keeps food warm for a long time.

I bought this for my son. He leaves for school before 7 am and his lunch period is at 12:55. His old thermos did not keep food hot for that long. Today I preheated this one with hot water, and then I heated chili to hot. He loved it. It is the first time in all his school years that food was warm enough by lunch.

It works!!! I can put my tea in it, and it’s still too hot to drink in the morning. 😉 But seriously. Nothing is worse than lukewarm chili on a cold day, and this thing really lives up to its promise. 15 hours for sure, and it lasts. Survives being dropped by 10 year olds, and still keeps things warm. Not like some of those other wimpy things they sell you, that fizzle out and let you down with even the gentlest of care (MIRA, are you listening?).

It keeps food somewhat warm for about 4 hours. It’s better than a traditional thermos, but by no means perfect. It’s good enough for my kids to take food for lunch that I heat for them, since their school doesn’t have a microwave.
My son now eats hot food for lunch and it’s still hot and good! And the spork

Hot food. My son is picky. He doesn’t do sandwiches for lunch so when summer time came around and he had to take lunch to camp, I was stumped. Then I bought this thermos and it has been a life saver. My son now eats hot food for lunch and it’s still hot and good! And the spork! That was just an added bonus. He loves it and I love that I love that the utensil comes back.

I purchased two for family members who work outside in very cold weather. They report that it was a pleasure to have really hot soup awaiting them from these thermoses. If you put boiling hot soup into this thermos, it will still be very hot when opened many hours later. When hot weather arrives, I imagine it will work great for keeping food cold. The thermos will also fit easily into an adult size lunch kit. It’s a practical gift that will be appreciated for years to come.

I’ve heard for years now bad microwaves are for your health. When I started looking into it more for myself my wife and I decided that we can get a thermos like this one to keep food hot while we were at work. I always heat up the container with boiling water inside first for about five minutes or at least a couple minutes. Works great we bought a used one that was in great condition and worked fine.
