Viking Nature Solar Camping Shower Bag

I ordered the Viking Nature Solar Camping Shower Bag to use during camping trips, and power outages. It holds a full 5 gallons of water and has a sturdy handle for carrying and for hanging it up. It’s made of non toxic PVC, and comes with a flexible hose with a plastic shower head on one end. The other end of the hose slips easily onto the spigot, with which to turn the water flow off and on. Since I live in a wooded area, with no neighbors or roads in view of the house, I decided to give it a test run before our camping trip. I’m glad I did, because I needed to tweak a couple of things first.

This is my first ever solar shower bag and I must say I am impressed. There are pros and cons to the Viking Nature Solar Camping Shower Bag.

The Viking Natures Solar Camp shower is in my opinion a home essential item.

Viking Camping shower bag- I wanted this for camping use as well as for outdoor use just here at home. Thus far we have it hanging beside our pool. This is so fun. We can shower off, and even wash our hair with this and just dry off as we are outside and no hassle of messing up the bathroom. We have a place for our soap, shampoo and everything. Daughter loves this ! Two people can do really well with the amount of water that this holds. We do sometimes use the regular water hose to rinse hair in addition to this so we have some pressure going on however even if we did not , we could rinse it good enough with just this alone. This gets really warm, just like it would be in a shower. I followed the directions and rinsed the bag with water and baking soda. We hung this on our basket ball goal since we don’t use that too much in the summer. I refill it every day and sometimes I add a bit of baking soda (tsp or so) in the water just because I feel it makes it fresh and helps the water since its in the hot sun. This thing is very addicting and literally fun. It does work better if you can sit on a bucket or stool so the gravity works with the hose that comes with it and your hose stays straight. I hung this high enough so that I can still stand on something and put the hose right up to the hole and fill it up with ease. In addition to the string that come with it I opted for 2 other straps for a stronger hold. I am not sure what to do when I am done with this for the season, but I believe I am going to just dump in a bottle of rubbing alcohol and shake it , then pour it out so that it will evaporate and there will be no water in there that might have a smell or build up. Hope that idea helps someone. For the women out there im just going to say that sitting outdoors in your swim suit and shaving legs while sitting down is really fun and easy! I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest review.

4 guys in 102 degree Temps in western KS for a muzzeloader mule deer hunt. Shower worked great. I have had to use things like this in the past when I was a guide in Alaska. For the money it’s a great deal. All of the bad reviews I read on this product appear to be from people who lack mechanical intelligence. These people need to rent hotel rooms…

I must admit I wasn’t expecting too much from this Viking Nature Solar Camping Shower Bag but shortly prove me wrong. We have used it already on two camping trips and we used it daily and I absolutely love it. My solar camp shower worked as advertised. Heating water takes some time, but goes much faster if you put the bag on the roof or hood of your car. Going without showers during camping can be a little bit stinky, but now there is no excuse. Getting a shower is super refreshing…it is great to get the sweat and smoke smell off of your body. For this price you cant really go wrong. It packs up small and 5 gallons is plenty of water for two-three people if you know how to conserve water.

I have always been one to love camping, but I dislike when we go somewhere that I can’t bathe. This camp shower bag is a perfect option. I had my husband try it out in our shower because it is winter right now and I can’t see how well it does with the solar part (I’m sure it will work as it’s black and that helps warm things) The shower itself is easy to use, he put the black rod thing in across the handle, that keeps the handle from ripping when you pick it up. I wasn’t able to hold it up much, but he could easily do so.
