It’s not a bad idea to have a working compass on hand when you’re out traveling. I often find that when I go camping, phone compasses are unreliable.

PACKAGING: The Glow In The Dark Camping Compass comes in a white cardboard box….there is no writing on the white cardboard box. When opening the white cardboard box you will see the gold compass in cellophane that is sealed on one end and opened at the other end.

The lid is a little loose (not the hinge–it just opens really easily), but I #1–dropped the compass on a wood floor as soon as I removed it from its shipping envelope, and #2–I am going to carefully press the lid a bit tighter with a small needle-nose pliers. This compass is perfect for placing in a car or purse in case you get confused and and are in an area where you can’t see the mountains to the west of your home, or you just get lost. CHECK other reviews to make sure the lid is not a little loose anyway. My kid bought one, and the lid is not loose on that one. Otherwise, this is a nice little old-school little compass.

The SharpSurvival Compass has got to be one of the prettiest compasses I have set my eyes on. It is absolutely gorgeous! It is a steal at the current price point! Even though I initially thought it would be masculine my daughter fell in love with it so I had to get another one for her. We used it during our recent trip which was in a cabin while we went hiking. I am hoping the pictures reflect how beautiful the piece is. I haven’t had to clean it so I can’t comment on if it gets tarnished but I know I will triple make sure I take care of it. I would definitely recommend this as a gift or purchase for yourself.

My son I had a blast with this compass. We used it to go around some of the nature areas in our surrounding area to see if we could use it with a map so I could teach him how to use maps so that he wouldn’t get lost. He’s always had a fascination with compass is and this one is awesome. I love the fact that it easy for him to carry and affected it works phenomenally well and we hadn’t absolutely wonderful time playing with it and using it. I can’t wait until he starts with Cub Scouts because he’ll have an amazing compass to go with him when they go camping and hold know how to use it.

I really like this little compass, the case on it makes it easy to slip it in your pocket if you’re going out for a hike or even a short walk. Something about it takes me back to when I was a kid, it’s the kind of thing kids would carry with them and pull out to impress their friends when they were telling their tall tales, or just out inventing their own adventures.
Good compass considering the price. It is not a sturdy military-grade compass, however.
It’s a compass. It works. Not the greatest quality, but for under $5, who can complain? I bought it for my grandkids to play with. FYI: I’ve seen this very same product selling for twice as much or more. IMO, it’s worth about $5, if that.

Now this is a cool looking and very functional compass. Right out of the box I was like WOW!!!!!! The beauty and the classiness of this compass is truly amazing. Not only is it a compass but it also looks like a classic pocket watch from the 1940’s. This compass has a 360 degree rotating bezel for easy navigation & orienteering through any situation. I used mine through some local trails to see how well it worked? And it was so perfect and worked flawlessly. I cant wait to use this compass in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Another amazing feature of this compass is that it glows in the dark. This is perfect for your day time or night time exploring. The glowing feature of the compass is also perfect when u are in the woods where there is very little sun light. The accuracy of this survival compass is dead on perfect. The compass measures 48mm x 12mm making it ideal for adults & kids. My son who is 10, my wife, my oldest son and I all used this compass on our walk of our local trails. If your not 100% how to use a compass, just do a little research on the internet. Its not very hard to learn how to use this survival tool. And its just my opinion but everyone should learn how to use and have one. You never know when you will need this little bit of knowledge.
