The BackJack seat is a sturdy "go anywhere" floor chair. BackJack floor chairs are constructed with a removable heavy cotton duck outer cover stretched over a sturdy steel inner frame. I bought this chair for support when meditating and it does the job. Seat is a little small but happy overall.

I first found out about Back Jack chairs at a meditation retreat. These floor seats are life savers, both great for the back and incredibly portable. I keep one in my yoga room and keep another in the trunk of my car in case I need to pull it out at an event for extra support. They are lightweight enough to take with me or move from room to room, but solid enough to be durable. The cushioned seat adds an extra level of comfort, and the back is ergonomically designed so I know I’m not slouching or causing damage to my spine.

These chairs were used with everyone for a five day workshop. I thought my back would hurt because I have a long history of low back pain. I was fine!!. We used large floor pillows for more butt and back support. I bought this right away when I got home. The ones at the seminar must have been the extra large, because these are small. I am petite and this is small. I need extra cushion with chair only because I have a bony butt. I think everyone would need extra padding as the seat squishes flat. I have no spacial sense so I had to put together and take apart a few times to get it right. The instructions are clear but, what can I say, I’m an idiot. I bought cushions to make this chair work. I use it in my living room to read, meditate, watch TV. No back pain with this chair. My furniture now creates back pain but the chair does not. Home Beautiful would not give my living room a star because it’s not cute, but, it works and I don’t have to buy new furniture. I will keep this chair and probably buy a larger size as well.
