Awesome light in a small package! x4!

First, this is a steal of a deal. These units are fairly small at roughly 5″ tall and 10″ in circumference, allowing them to fit rather easily in my vehicle glove compartment, or backpack/bugout bag. They’re made of a hard plastic and require 3 double A batteries for operation – this is great because double A is the most common battery out there. The metal handles fold down when not in use and simply require a gentle upward pull to activate the light which incidentally pulls the unit apart as in the picture. I was pleasantly surprised at how bright these units are despite their size and that’s due to the LED-technology. Another kind of cool thing is that you can push down the top of the lantern to reduce light output. This is a physical feature but I could see where NOT having too bright of a light may be needed as well such as if you were sleeping in a tent next to someone, say reading a book. Or if you simply wanted LESS light.
Extremely bright. Small enough to bring backpacking or bicycle touring.

Wow! Super bright. Brighter and smaller than the $36 highly rated led lantern I keep in my camping trailer. I can’t wait to surprise my buddies on our next bicycle tour. When I bring this out at the nightly card game they won’t have any trouble reading their cards or cooking a late night snack. It’s biggish for bicycle touring/backpacking, but worth it for the amount of light it puts out.

I live in Florida and got this since we have hurricanes around here every once in awhile. This will be going in our hurricane emergency box and will be using it in case we ever have the power goes out. I did a test and it really lights up the room. Definitely necessity for anyone that gets hurricanes and maybe out of power for a while.

I purchased the 4 pack of these lanterns and am very pleased with them. They are very bright and do a good job of lighting your area. Pictures are from my camping trip, not sure they give these lanterns enough justice though. They also seem to be able to go awhile without changing batteries, though I didn’t get a chance to use them for a long duration of time to test how long a set of batteries will last. For the price you can’t go wrong, 4 LIGHTS FOR $20. Great product at a great value.

These are some really nice, quality lanterns. They are so easy to use and you could use them for more than just camping! They would be good for any emergency. If the lighst go out, these are easy to store because of their ability to collapse and the handles also fold away. These are LED lanterns so they are extra bright and you can adjust the height for brightness control. I will be recommending these to all of my friends!

VERY BRIGHT. 5 families get together for camping a couple times per year. This time many of us ordered similar (nearly identical) LED lanterns. These were so much brighter than all the others, by a factor. These are actually so bright, the only thing that made them better, was that we took some tracing paper and lined the inside of the clear section to soften the brightness and this made a huge difference. I’ll be ordering more of these for the entire group as gifts.

I bought these little lanterns as a gift for my son-in-law. He loves them and plans to get more. I also bought some for my husband at Christmas time and we are really happy with them too which is why I got a set for my son-in-law. They are small, so they don’t take up a lot of room, but they are handy little lanterns that shine very brightly when activated by pulling them up by the handles. They are light-weight so I think they are so much better than old school kerosene lanterns and less dangerous. The kids use them at night to get things out of the shed, we take them camping and they are great. I like having them on hand for the times we have storms and loose electrical power. We now just put a lantern in each room that needs light. These are great to keep in an RV too. Again, they are small so they don’t take much storage space, but their LED lights are very bright. They do take batteries, but I wouldn’t leave the batteries in when storing them. Instead, keep spare batteries in a plastic bag taped on the side of the lantern’s storage box. That way when the lantern is needed, grab batteries out of the bag, take a lantern out of the box and you’re good to go.

I had the opportunity to try out the lights during a 3 day offroad trip on the Mojave trail. It’s absolutely simple to use and the compact design allows easy storage. Don’t let the small size throw you off. This item puts out a fair amount of light. Not the brightest I’ve seen but very good for the price range. I hung one lantern in the middle of an 8 man tent for inside lighting. This was the only issue I found out about the lantern. It has a tendency to pull down and come on if hung with the handles. It came on few a times during the night and I eventually took it down to get some sleep. I would have given it 5 stars if the push/pull switch would stay off while hung on the handles. Still a good buy.

Very bright lanterns. I would have given it 5 stars but it’s not as solid feeling as they let on to believe. It could also use a latch mechanism to keep it closed. I used a rubber band to keep it closed while packed. Otherwise it’s a great size, very bright and very handy. I saw the same lanter at an Ace hardware for about the same price but only came with one lantern. This one comes with 4! One for me, the wife and kids each. I’m really happy with the purchase. Definitely recommend.
