Coleman Brazos Sleeping Bag

To all of the naysayers who thought it couldn’t be done. IN YOUR FACE! I managed to get the sleeping bag back into the zipped up stuff sack. Any one else up to the challenge? Decent product BTW.

I’m glad I didn’t let the bad reviews stop me from this purchase. Although there was nothing that I found faulty on mine zipper-wise etc. And rolling a sleeping bag, well I think you just have to use the right technique. I have no problems fitting it back in the bag, maybe a little bulkier than I first got it, but no big deal. I like the way it hooks onto itself to help keep it together from un-rolling. It’s warm in 40 degree weather, haven’t tried lower yet. I’m 6’1″ so I agree that you can’t fit all the way in it, but I knew by the sizing chart that this would be the case, when my head got cold I just curled up inside and was fine. I like it because it’s light, warm, affordable and comfortable.

First- This is a car camping bag. Do not purchase this bag thinking it can be good for backpacking. Once you get it out of the stuff sack it is NOT going back in. That is literally the only downfall I am finding with this bag. It is very warm and soft and has an improved zipper system I am having no issues with. I am a very experienced camper and highly recommend this spacious comfy bag. I have 6 sleeping bags that I own from a fancy North Face bag to an old 1980’s Coleman flannel lined bag and this may be my favorite. Enjoy!!

I purchased four of these for my wife and kids before our trip to Yellowstone (late Sept.). On our first night our heater wasn’t working in our tent trailer and the temp outside reached 26 degrees F. It was cold! I would say that the temperature in the trailer was just above freezing at the coldest part of the night. In the morning I asked how they had slept (all of them had gone to bed with warm bed clothes, hoodies, socks etc.) To my surprise they had all been warm during the night. My wife commented that her feet were a little chilled during the night but that two pairs of socks would have remedied the situation. The bags certainly did their job and I’m glad we bought them or we would’ve been sleeping in the SUV all night with cold and cranky kids.
