Sturdy, comfortable hiking shoes. I found these shoes to be very comfortable for an 8+ mi hike yesterday. They are waterproof, but they are low-topped so I wouldn’t recommend trying to cross a stream with them. However, the fact that they are both comfortable and lightweight makes the trade-off (vs having a taller, heavier shoe) worth it to me. They also fit as expected.

The color is great, and at a price 50% off vs the other colors, they look even better. I ordered the shoes 1/2 size larger than my dress shoes and they fit well. They are also a bit narrower than some athletic shoes so the extra 1/2 size larger helps as well. I have not worn them for extended periods yet, but I don’t anticipate any problems. Although the toe box is a little narrower than some, it is cut to a roomy height so no pinching on the top of toes when walking. I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

Overall Great buy! These are quality shoes,I have owned many pairs of merrel and these feel super comfortable and have a rugged feel and I know that they will last a while, and they also look terrific. The purchase price practically a steal at roughly $47.00. Thats about a third of what they retail for, and overall pleased beyond my expectations. I would highly recommend them for anyone considering this purchase.

Hiked about 20 miles over a couple of days in the Great Smoky Mt. National Park this past week. Shoes provided great arch support over the rocky trails. Would highly recommend for colder spring/fall/winter hiking. The waterproof nature of the shoes does make them warmer on the feet than other shoes that breathe better, so I will not be wearing them in the summer.

Merrell shoes have always been a favorite of mine. I love the look of these ones. I never had waterproof Merrells, so wasn’t sure how they’d be. They have kept my feet completely dry going through wet grass, which is exactly what I was hoping for. Great shoes!
Nice shoe and fits as expected
Nice shoe and fits as expected. I have a somewhat low profile foot and this shoe fits perfectly without overly tightening the laces and without too much room in the forefoot that makes shoes feel floppy and weird. The gusseted tongue is a nice touch and there was no break in period for me. This is my first pair of Merrells after years of trying. Previous Merrells (generally the Ventilator series) that I have tried never fit. As I recall they were always wide and floppy on my feet for my length, but these fit perfectly.

I love these shoes I have always worn Merrell moab’s and absolutely love them but have found that some of their shoes are a little too narrow for my feet. Although this she does have a little bit of a weird toe they fit great
Overall seems pretty good
I’m using these as snow and bad weather shoes in the city where I live.
Comfortably narrow; Good flexibility; Killer in double orange!

A few reviews said the shoes runs narrow. I wear a men’s 11N and have a terrible time finding shoes that fit. This one is delightfully snug side-to-side, but I can see that would be a huge problem if you have feet on the wide side of D width. Merrell is a choice brand for me, and the soles do not disappoint. Too soon to talk wear life, but initially the flex is perfect and the tread is just what you want for all-around trail use. Have yet to test the waterproofing, but Merrell has a good reputation so I’m optimistic.
