Used this to hand wash my Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer down jacket. After some hand agitating and a good soak my jacket looked like it was through; all the down was clumped together and it looked horrible. This is where you keep following the directions. Sent it through a few rounds in the spin/drain cycle of my washing machine then into the tumble dryer at low heat with, at the recommendation of other people, 3 tennis balls. When I took it out it was completely fluffed up and looked fantastic – better than the day I bought it.

This stuff is fantastic! This is the first time I have braved washing my 800 fill down sleeping bag and my 900 fill down jacket, due to worry about what would happen. Not to worry with this product and my front load washing machine. I have a HE high capacity front loading LG washing machine and I followed the directions on the bottle only washing one item at a time. I set it to prewash with a 1/4 of the liquid in that cup and hand wash with the remainder of the liquid in that cup,water was set to warm/cold, with the extra rinse cycle for good measure. I tumbled dry air only no heat for about 5 minutes then I laid each item out on the bed flat with the fan on to help speed drying. I did each item this way and WOW they smell great and have more loft now then when they were brand new. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with down items. As a positive this should also add some moisture repellency to my down!

Excellent product for washing those expensive garments. Follow directions closely especially when drying. Separating the clumps of damp down in the garment is a must. The “detergent” leaves the clothing fresh and clean and it has a pleasant smell.
Fluffier down and cleaner sleeping bags

I admit I was very hesitant to douse my down sleeping bag in water, but it really needed it! I washed 2 sleeping bags with this and they both cam out looking and smelling better. The down was much fluffier and they dried out just fine. I will definitely be using it again.

I purchased this to wash some sleeping bags I picked up used from an rei garage sale and it worked flawlessly. All three bags came clean in one wash and are even more water resistant now. Also the loft is incredible way better then before.
Great wash!
My sleeping bag is so beautiful and smells extra fresh since using this product! The sleeping bag was exposed to a lot of campfire smoke previously which gave it a poor odor. This wash made this odor undetectable after use.

I washed 2 pillows with this detergent and they came out smelling much better. The wash left a slightly woody smell behind, but that didn’t linger but a week and didn’t affect my ability to sleep. I was disappointed that this bottle is only good for 3 washes.

Great product! After hand washing 750 loft down sleeping bag, bag is puffier and fluffier and softer than ever! A little pricy but $5 to wash my high quality down gear is worth it! Highly recommend!
