I have used this bug spray several times to go out in the woods and have yet to be bothered by any insects. It has a pleasant smell and does not feel greasy. I recommend it over other DEET-based sprays.

I have been living in South Carolina near the coast for about 2 years. The “no-see-ums” out here are just horrible!! Several people recommended the skin-so-soft products so I bought a can to try it out. I have used it twice now and this product works very well. It has a pleasant smell and is long-lasting! I would definitely recommend this product

I am 32 years old. I remember as a child my twin brother went away camping, and my mother packed a bottle of Skin So Soft body oil (the original product) by avon in his bag. Bugs loved my twin brother for some reason (even in the house every summer. He would have huge bites every summer on his body. He was allergic so the bite spots would swell up), but bugs would not go near him on that particular camping trip-after applying the oil. This was back in the 90’s late 80’s, before Avon started making “Insect Repellent”. So of course this particular product was inspired from the original Skin So Soft product. Today as an adult & mother, I work with kids, and my class (4 & 5 year olds)recently went to a park for a field trip (huge park, wooded, grassy, lots of trees), and one of my students had this spray. He said his mom loves it for him & his brother. Its great because it is good for the skin (DEET free), has sun block, fragrance free, water proof, & bugs stay faaar away from you. I even asked him if I can have some to spray on me. I am about to get a can of the spray for my 2 kids!! Great product, always has been. Must have product for the entire family.

My brother and I were in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and used another spray insect repellent at first, and it stopped the mosquitoes and some other insects, but not the nasty little black flies that were eating us up. I bought the Avon Skin-So-Soft spray (with Picaridin) at the Fort Wilkins gift shop, we sprayed it on, and instantaneously the black flies ceased to be a problem. It also kept off all the mosquitoes and others that the other spray countered. I was (and am) impressed.

My family used this product on the fourth of July while watching fireworks. None of us were bitten with a mosquito, despite the fact we were fairly close to a lake. I purchased some for my son’s camping trip with his dad and they weren’t bitten on their trip either. So, I think we have a new (deet-free)bug spray in our family!
I’m currently pregnant and my ObGyn recommended using repellent that container picaridin and this one worked …

I’m currently pregnant and my ObGyn recommended using repellent that container picaridin and this one worked perfectly. Goes on in an aerosol spray (easy application), it has a light smooth feel on skin, non greasy at all. It doesn’t smell strong or like typical bug repellents which smell way too strong, this smells nice. Highly recommend for the whole family, I use it on my children as well. This product works great!

Took this to Jamaica with us because we heard the Picaridin is recommended to keep the sand fleas from biting. We never knew if there were sand fleas because we never got bit so I assume it did it’s job! I also sprayed all over before going out in the evening. It has a light powdery odor that you only smell when you spray it. Does not smell like chemicals or leave a residue on you or your clothing. Excellent product!

I cannot say enough about this fantastic product! I did a lot of research on DEET free repellents and this is the ONLY one that has protected me 100%. I keep it by the back door and do a quick spray before going outside, and use it more precisely when I’m going to be outside for an extended period of time (or at night). What some reviewers have said about the smell are true, it is pretty potent, but it smells quite sweet and unlike bug spray (even had someone compliment me on my “perfume”). Regardless, the smell is a fair compromise for how well the product works. I have always been a mosquito magnet but also being pregnant during this Zika scare really caused me to do my research this summer. I only wish you could buy this product in stores!
