Suitable for cooking a large meal

I am impressed by the amount of heat these burners put out. This stove is suitable for boiling large pots of water, heating up a large fry pan full of eggs & bacon, or whatever one has in mind. I wanted something I can store in the closet and bring out in case there is a power outage. This stove has the capacity to cook for an entire family. I also purchased the Coleman 5 Ft. High-Pressure Propane hose, so I could use this stove with a 20-pound propane tank. It worked just fine this way. The stove feels a little flimsy, but obviously they need to keep the weight down, so I do not really view that as a defect.

I used this stove for the first time on a camping trip and it worked beautifully. After reading some of the reviews, I knew to be very very careful when tightening the propane attachment line to the stove. Others have had problems with the copper gas line inside the tube shearing when screwing the attachment it in. I would have liked more control of the flame but it’s not a huge deal. The ignition switch worked fine (same as what you would find on a gas grill at home). As others have noted, the bottom may slip around a bit. I put a couple of little rubber pads on the bottom feet to prevent this.

MUCH BETTER THAN SELF-LIGHTING UNIT

Much better than self lighting unit – on that you need to press the button the stove slides back so then you have to hold the stove on the back with your left hand while pressing the lighting button with the right – without thinking I burned myself.

so I’m satisfied. For me

So far, no quality issues. I assembled it, ran it for a few minutes, and packed it up. Everything worked the way it should, so I’m satisfied. For me, it is basically a “back-up” for when we lose power due to storms, etc. and it (hopefully) will not see much use! It fits nicely into the Coleman Medium Camp Stove bag (“… for grills up to 21.5 x 14 x 4.8 in.”), with room to spare for the extension hose and adapter to use with a 20lb tank.

Great outdoor or table top camping stove.

Great table top 2 burner propane stove. Used it on a recent camping trip and it worked great. Burners boiled water in a 3 cup pot in less than 5 mins. Only minor thing was the burner controls are not fine tunable for flame intensity. High and medium were the only choices. Not a problem, just a matter of lack of a low setting. Still would buy the stove, regardless.

I bought this as a Father’s Day gift for my husband. He was very happy to receive it and we had the opportunity to use it on a couple different camping trips over the summer. The InstaStart is nice to have and the wind shield works well. It cooked quickly and evenly. I’m very happy with this purchase.

There is something to be said about “Test of Time.” Coleman is definitely a brand to trust. This is very reliable and I have no doubt that it will last long enough for me to hand it down to my kid, and then some. The flames are true and the controls are just perfect. I saw a few other brands that had sharp edges unlike this Coleman Triton. I would recommend this not only to first timers but to seasoned campers.
