Customer Reviews
Good job; good price; now with less breakage

We have used these tent stakes for years, and we have to keep buying them because the green plastic heads break off. Maybe it is a design feature to assure repeat customers. In our experience, the heads always break when trying to remove the stake with a stake puller, especially in hard soil.

I’ve only used these tent pegs (tent nails) on one camping trip, but they worked quite well. I used a rubber mallet and tent peg puller (separate purchase). These 10″ pegs could be difficult to pull without a tent peg puller tool.
One perfectly lovely stake. But only one.

So I received my stake today. Just one. Tossed in the box with my other items. No packaging. While it does seem to be a very well made stake, it is not worth 10 bucks and we are clearly led to believe we are getting an entire SET of 10 stakes with this purchase. Sooooo, unless I successfully kill a vampire with it OR I get 9 more stakes from amazon, 3 stars will be all it gets.
stronger than expected

I had purchased these as a backup for a canvas Bedouin tent that i had made. The tent relies heavily on tension to keep it erect. When the rebar steaks i intended to use failed to penetrate the gravely terrain i was in, i used these. They worked wonderfully. The have a lot more grip in the ground than i thought they would, and did not bend like i half expected. These are now my main tent steaks. You must be careful of the plastic anchors when driving them in. If you hit the anchor by accident, they will break.
AMAZING PRODUCT; Very heavy duty

AMAZING PRODUCT; Very heavy duty…. These are a win win item. I bought two packs and these will last for our life time….that’s how heavy duty they are…. No kidding either… I was in boy scouts for 11 years and we never had this quality of tent steaks…. We bought high end tents for the kids too. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOUR PURCHASE OF THESE…. I actually bought two packs because in the past with other tent steaks they would bent when pounding in the ground and end up no longer useful.

While I sincerely doubt the “List Price” was actually the $112.40 shown, I plan on using these to hold down our sand-free blanket on the beach and they look plenty long/sturdy to do that!
These are fantastic and keep them in my truck at all times

These are fantastic and keep them in my truck at all times. I have showed up camping with those cheap plastic once and when you pull them out, they break more times than not. These metal ones are the way to go!
These will get the job done.
At 10.5″ long, these are some heavy duty stakes that are going to work well with piercing into some of the more rocky ground that we usually hit during our camping trips. The galvanized steel is plenty durable and the length of these will help in securing it throughly. The heads have a thick PVC hook and hole that allows for attaching guide lines. Whether plastic or metal, these will always get abuse due to the fact that this is where you are pounding them into the ground. While the PVC looks thick and durable, it certainly isn’t invulnerable. I suggest using a rubber mallet and if they do happen to break there is always the possibility of using a flat washer up against the head to wrap the rope underneath as a backup option. Pleased with these as they are a bit thicker and longer than some of the others that I have currently.
A must for any new tent

Good, long sturdy stakes. Anyone who buys a new tent knows the included stakes are terrible. The factory stakes bend easily and don’t even think about trying to drive them into rocky ground. These stakes are great; they are strong and long enough to keep your tent ort tarp anchored during a storm.
