Yaktrax Run Traction Cleats were designed by runners to allow users to continue running and training in winter. Run Traction Cleats attach over running shoes with a high-strength rubber foot frame that includes straps over the toe as well as over the top of the foot for additional security; the heal and side straps of the frame feature reflective material for safety. Yaktrax Run Cleats offer superior traction thanks to replaceable, 3mm carbide-steel spikes combined with a shaped-edge coil design of 1.4mm rust-resistant stainless steel coils so users can run with confidence on packed snow or ice. Multiple coil angles provide 360 degrees of traction on cold surfaces for stability in all directions. Yaktrax Run Traction Cleats have been tested in temperatures as low as -41 degrees Fahrenheit so they can be used in a variety of extreme environments. Yaktrax Run Traction Cleats come in four sizes to fit most shoes: Small (fits shoe size W6.5-10, M5-8.5); Medium (fits shoe size W10.5-12.5, M9-11); Large (fits shoe size W13-15, M11.5-13.5); X-Larger (fits shoe size W15.5+, M 14+). For oversized shoes or boots, Yaktrax recommends purchasing one size larger than your normal shoe size.

“Spikes” on the forefoot aid traction and promote excellent stability – ice, snow and pavement – I have NO worries on my runs (except cold LOL). These are better (much) than the prior generation with coils on the back and front – others in my run group have these and I just motored. Also the forefoot strap doesn’t slide through and once secure – no problem… my long run is 10m and these didn’t shift… not one bit.
You NEED these if you want to run in the winter and hate the treadmill!

I own both the walk and run versions of the yaktrax. The walk is good for everyday use, but these runs are what you want if you are going on the trails. Having that strap across the toe makes sure that you don’t loose one! (happened to me in my walkers) Traction on snow is excellent and as good as you are going to get on ice. I couldn’t do without these for running in winter!

Worked great in the only Chicago ice storm of the year. I had the streets to myself. Like the title says, I felt like I had the traction of a billy goat. Love ’em.
Great!

i decided to embrace the MN winters this year so I bought the yaktrax run. They work great on the stiff, solid snow with traction. If the snow is somewhat soft, it still feels like you are running in sand. But definitely helps on the ice and hard packed snow. Easy to put on over your shoes!

I received these today after getting our first snow of the season overnight. I got them minutes before I head out for a run. I decided to try running without them, after only 0.1 miles I came back because many sections of the route I run had ice/snow and were slippery. I put the Yaktrax on and went for a 4.5 miles rum. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I felt like I’m running a dry route with the same level of traction. I tried them up and down a steep hill with ice and snow, and it felt like running on dry solid concrete. Putting them on my shoes was very easy, they fit the shoe very well and tight enough so they don’t slip during running. I ran over dry concrete sections with them, I didn’t even feel I have them on my shoes (the run felt exactly as usual), they give the sound of running on broken glass when running on dry concrete, but that’s all, they don’t affect the pace or the feel of the run what so ever. These are a must have if you are planning to run during the winter season in areas with snow and ice. If you are planning to use them for running, make sure you get the Yaktrax Run, as the same brand have different ones for different purposes (they have ones for walking, hiking, work and safety, etc. If you are interested to know the difference they have a comparison chart on their website). Also, make sure you get the right size (there is a sizing chart when you purchase one).

We bought yaktraks because we have plenty of ice, but no snow(for skiing). We went on three hikes on uneven terrain and were very happy with the yaktrak run. We found the little spikes really adds traction on solid ice. I got a medium for my (womens) size 11, which fit well. And i ordered my boyfriend the (mens) large for his size 13 feet. They were hard to get on, but maybe the tightness helps them stay.
Just What I needed!

I walk or run 3-5 days a week. I love being outside, no matter what time of year. The Yaktrax allows me to safely continue my routine without having to resort to the treadmill! I used them for the first time last week after a small snow storm. They were easier to put on my running shoes than I thought they would be. They worked perfectly. I didn’t have any slipping or sliding. I definitely recommend these!
