My wife and I just purchased a conversion van and we was looking for a portable toilet. We came across the 5.3 gallon Camco Portable toilet. At first we were very skeptical about this portable toilet. Our main concern was if it let the smell out and if it leaks. Well when we receive the portable toilet, we noticed that it had a sample pack of deodorizer. I believe it contained four packets in it. It was easily put together and tall enough to where it felt like a real toilet. The bottom waste reservoir did not leak and contained the smell along with the deodorizer. The first time we emptied it, it had absolutely no smell and no yucky mess. What is cool about this portable toilet is that it has a separate section that contains the fresh water and it does not leak. It even fell over one time in the van and it did not leak. The toilet seal between the fresh and un fresh tank held well and keeps in unwanted smells, not that it had any. The flushing mechanism works perfectly almost imitating a household toilet. My wife and I really enjoyed this on our road trips, especially when there was no bathroom in sight. I recommend this portable toilet for travelers and campers. It does the job. Great product Camco. It’s much cleaner than a lot of public restrooms and you don’t have to worry about any unwanted nasty’s jumping on you from public restrooms. We love it! It is very convenient and worth the price.

Great toilet for the price.

For the money, this is a great travel toilet (mine is in a small fiberglass trailer). The height is very good (approx 15″ from floor to top of seat) and it’s in a nice dark beige color so it’s not so “white” in the field. The fresh water flush mechanism works well and the clips to separate top from bottom sections work well. The pull tab for the dump valve is well greased (and should be vaseline’d every so often) and my unit came with two Camco RV Toilet Treatment Drop-Ins. Basically these are orange-scented sachets that go into the bottom compartment then put an inch of water in to dissolve. Work very well and no smell.

I love it. I use in my daycare and it’s much easier for the children then the regular toilet and more convenient for us then the potty.

I love my portable toilet!!! Just went camping and used my new Shower/Utility Tent and portable toilet. It was fantastic. I didn’t have to share with anyone…camped alone…and I didn’t have to worry about bugs or dirtiness. It was wonderful. If you are thinking about buying a portable throne…then you want this one. It is so easy to use. Fill the top part with water for cleansing flush and it lasts all week. (Well, for one person anyway.). To empty the bottom part, just detach the top and take it to a bathroom and pour and flush down the toilet. It is a must for tent camping. I won’t go without it!!! Literally!

Very comfortable, like a normal height toilet in the house and definitely too good for its price. I recommend it for everyone who likes camping!

I live in a camper trailer where it’s below freezing. I just put RV antifreeze in this toilet to not freeze. It doesn’t leak a drop. It flushes nicely. I did make a riser seat out of 2x4s cuz you sit too low.
